Making Decisions About Treatment and Intervention

The following videos are demonstrations of ABA-based teaching interactions. ASAT is offering these short videos to illustrate what behavior analytic intervention looks like in practice. We are focusing on ABA-based interventions here because they are the best documented form of effective instruction for individuals with autism, and have been endorsed by a number of state and federal agencies, including the U.S. Surgeon General and the New York State Department of Health. There are many different ways to implement ABA-based interventions, and only a qualified clinician making data-based decisions can determine if any specific procedure is effective for any specific individual with autism. ASAT offers these video examples as an introduction to what effective instructional methods based in the science of applied behavior analysis for individuals with autism can look like in practice.
