Fundraising
Fundraising revenue goes directly to supporting our important work. A number of diverse fundraising activities have been conducted to support ASAT.
Donation Jars
Donation jars can be displayed to help educate consumers and to raise money to support ASAT’s mission. Donation jars, an ASAT information insert for the donation jar, ASAT business cards, and signage will be provided for any participating business.
Several businesses in Maine, New Jersey, and California have already successfully participated, and we have written about their efforts in our newsletter. For example: http://www.asatonline.org/pdf/summer2011.pdf (Yogurtland article Vol.8, No.3, Page 7) http://www.asatonline.org/pdf/summer2010.pdf (Dairy Queen article Vol.7, No.3, Page 5)
Paper Icon Campaign
ASAT can provide donation paper icons for your business to sell at the register for a designated time frame. Icons can be sold for $1 or the customer can donate at a level of his/her choice. April is Autism Awareness month, which is a wonderful time to bring awareness, but a paper icon campaign can be implemented any time throughout the year.
AVON Beauty Fundraising Campaign
Support ASAT while shopping for AVON products through our AVON Fundraising Program which designates a portion of purchases to ASAT. Use the following link www.beautyfundraising.com/bfrfscr.html?id=790025 and register as a supporter of the Association for Science in Autism Treatment. Major credit cards and PayPal are accepted. Once you register, copy in the link provided for Avon representative Donna Broniak, which lets you know you have found your way. Happy shopping!
Dine InDeed
If you are a restaurant owner or manager, you may be interested in supporting ASAT through our Dine InDeed program. On selected days, a percentage of diners’ food bills is donated to ASAT. To learn more about our efforts, and to consider participating as a Dine InDeed restaurant, please read our information sheet. We will supply:
- Sign for door (to showcase your benevolent efforts to support ASAT)
- Dine InDeed check stuffers, ¼ page postcards, or glossy sheets based on your preferences
- Self-addressed, stamped envelope for checks to be sent at the end of your Dine InDeed participation.
Participating restaurants are asked to do the following:
- Display the sign in your window showcasing your participation in Dine InDeed
- Have host and/or servers tell guests about the charity program when they are seated.
- When the bill comes, servers will remind the guests that a percentage of the food bill will support ASAT.
This can be a wonderful way for your restaurant to bring in new diners! For more information, write DineInDeed@aol.com
Rock’n 4 Autism Awareness Concerts
ASAT has organized several benefit concerts in the tri-state area. Our Rock’n 4 Autism Awareness (R4AA) concerts have been a way to bring the community together to have a wonderful time and to educate the public as well. You can find out more information about the R4AA in Lancaster, PA (Vol. 8, No.1, page 5), and the R4AA in Hoboken (Vol.8, No.2, page 16).
